Extremely tough match to call considering how both of these teams made a solid runs so far against the odds, but I've got to go with Grandma Walkers for this match. They've been going off on teams once it goes to OT and have proven multiple times now that they can step it up in the moment. Not that noc7 can't, but, the last time these teams played on mill, Grandma Walkers had their way with noc7... and while I doubt this will be that one sided, I think we have a good idea what to expect.

Whoa, the Upper Bracket Final, we've made it! Coincidentally, with the two teams I expected to see here. I guess I'm occasionally right about some things, maybe just the obvious crap, anyway... While both of these teams went undefeated, and Area51 made it look that much easier, I think PLP had the harder road up, just my two cents. Unfortunately, I don't think that tough road is really going to make the difference against an Area51 team that looks as if it will inevitably be going back to Invite to get dunny brooked some more. The saving grace is that PLP looked to have a solid nuke, where as Area51 had some of their closest matches with teams that I wouldn't really think were as good as PLP is, on nuke. In the very least, it's going to make for a great Upper Bracket Final match. With all that being said, I think we'll see PLP right back in the Grand Final after hammering through some Lower Bracket teams.

Oh god. Why is ZOMBERGULCH doing this to me. It's one of those situations where ZG is basically good to win Main this season as long as I keep predicting against them, and the moment that I predict for them to win, they'll go down in flames. SO, I'm predicting ZG takes this match, and let me tell you why. The only thing we've seen from VG in this Post-Season was a win 5vs4. Sure, they picked up some rounds against PLP, and they edged out ZG the last time they played, but this is nuke, and last time I checked, it wasn't VG's strongest map.

I have clearly under estimated Grandma Walkers, those polite young men. Well, and TTB for that matter. Either way, TTB cut it sorta close on their nuke matches against some teams that, well, didn't exactly make it to Playoffs, meanwhile, those gentlemen in Grandma Walkers nearly upset Area51. Granted, there have been some roster changes, but the core is there, and I think you'll see nuke strike yet again in this Lower Bracket.

I'll probably end up jinxing this and tasting it verbally over the comments but I think this will be a decisive win for Area51. nocturnal7 are good, and they've done damage in the Upper Bracket already, but I don't think they're really in that top two range that Area51 is sitting in, and I think the results will show that.

This match should be much closer than the A51 vs. n7 match, and it will definitely be worth watching. Blight USA has finally woke up this season, granted, it took them until the Post-Season, but hey, who's keeping track (other than me). The last time these teams met on train, PLP kept the edge and won the match, but I think we're finally seeing a more dominant Blight that can actually control a match against a team like PLP like they would need to do to stand a chance. Close match, might go a few extra rounds, but I see Blight taking revenge for a few weeks ago.

Extremely difficult match to call. Both of these teams look better than you would think teams in the Lower Bracket would look, but I think Sexually Inactive Fgts may have the edge. They have the veterans on the team that know how to deal with a tough Lower Bracket match, and they have the talent. Should be pretty close, maybe even OT, but I'm going with the Fgts.

Great match up. i7 really kicked it into gear over the past few weeks, and Vicious Gaming seems to be getting back into form after a rough second half of the Regular Season, but both teams hit bricks walls in the Upper Bracket and now they have to force me to rack my brain with a prediction. Selfish aholes. VG looks good though. i7 have been taking matches the distance but they haven't been in control of their matches really, they're just making it last. I think VG should be able to take control early on, let i7 take the match for a ride but still close out when they need to.

Should be a Slashlevel- win here. They've actually played through their matches thus far, and have had a fighting chance the whole way, TTB had a forfeit walkover and then took 16 lashes to PLP. Slashlevel is warmed up, they've been fighting for each win, I'd say they just look like a team who plans on making a run in this bracket.

Should be an All Your Base win here. ZOMBERGULCH hasn't had a chance to do anything really in the Playoffs this far, and they sort of squeeked in to the Post-Season in the first place, I think this is where AYB ends their extended run.

This should be a win for Area51, but Salmon Shoulders won't make it easy. They put the spurs to Slashlevel- and surprised me, considering how Slashlevel had become one of the big up and coming teams heading into the Playoffs. Still, I don't see any teams in the Upper half of the Upper Bracket that has too good of a match-up against Area51, so my predictions are going to reflect that.

Could be a pretty solid match. All Your Base put 34 down with a quickness, and while nocturnal7 is a good enough team, I'd be worried if I were them. If that 34 match was any real indicator, AYB's stock has increased exponentially, but we'll have to see if they can make it to Area51, and then if they still have the momentum to make something happen.

Well, the fact that Blight USA picked up a forfeit win over The Face sure isn't going to give us a good idea if we're getting the Blight USA talent that's on the paper or the Blight USA talent that has been showing up to their ESEA matches lately, but I've been known for my blind faith so I'm sticking with Blight USA, at least for this match. Sexually Inactive Fgts have a couple of strong players that have experience against Blight, but Blight looked like they had finally kicked it into gear in those later few matches, and I can't ignore that.

Team To Beat ran into an interesting opening Playoff round match against Teamblindside, with some ringer issues on the teamblindside end. With that being said, TTB cleaned Packet Loss Pros out when they played on train. Being that this is de_lite, and the map is still a bit of a redheaded step child in the community, I don't know if either of these teams cleaned up their issues on the map. This one should be pretty damn good, and it's going to be pretty hard to call, but I'm going to say PLP picks up the revenge win.

Not that I wanna knock a Disney Movie storyline team like Capital 6 but, if these guys just lose 2 and BBQ, I'll be extremely disappointed. I really like to get behind the underdog and see the Mighty Ducks thing really work out. With that being said, if Slashlevel has anything left for these Playoffs, they'll make something happen here. I really hope so, cause I was getting a big rubbery one for this team in the Regular Season and I'd hate to see them fall apart in the Playoffs like so many teams before them.

Man, what happened to 34? AYB is good but, 34 is strong team with a strong roster and they're getting 16-6'd on the BIG ESEA-M Playoffs stage? What gives? This should be the beginning of the 34 comeback trail, even though Grandma Walkers have given just about every good team they've played this season quite the scare.

Probably the most interesting match of the night. You have a VG team that seemed to have the wheels fall off a few weeks prior to the Playoffs, and a teamblindside that is having ringer issues and matches overturned. If blindside was already having roster issues before losing a player and their window for ringing, I have to imagine that they won't even kind of be at full strength for this Lower Bracket match and it should be VG's chance to get it together for the Playoffs.
Upper Round One
Due to time format errors for the first round, we cannot offer Predictions through the Content System. Things should be fixed for Round Two, sincere apologies!
An easy enough warm-up for what should already be one of the hottest teams in the Playoffs. Capital 6 had a rough closing week of the Regular Season, and when you're being dismantled by Vicious-Gaming and Sexually Inactive Fgts, I'd say you're not likely to produce any upsets against Area51... now if this was Invite, any team playing against Area51 would have a clear advantage, but, we're still in Main at the moment, so it's still Area51's time to shine.
SlashLevel- looks good heading into this match. Salmon Shoulders picked up a win on train over them just a week or so ago, but I'm not entirely sure that even a rematch on train would produce the same results, and I feel confident enough to say that the rematch on dust2 is going to produce different results. It's going to be a tight one but SlashLevel- owes Salmon Shoulders some payback and its coming packaged here in the Playoffs.
Tough match to call. 34 may not have had a lock on their dust2 matches, but they took Packet Loss Pros the distance and that means at least something. All Your Base are a strong team, and I think in a few other match-ups, I'd feel more confident about them having a strong start but, this 34 team have been pretty cold blooded on every map other than inferno, and they've got a roster that should be able to outshine almost every team in Main. I'm going 34 for this one.
Looks like the Cyber Revolution deal didn't work out to well for the team now called the Grandma Walkers, though, with the amount of roster changes in the past week, I don't know if their history is even relevant now, and it's going to be damn hard to call this match reliably, but I'll give it a try anyway. nocturnal7 may be in a little over their heads in these Playoffs. They closed the Regular Season off well enough but their past chances against Playoff caliber teams have been mixed, if not a little negative, but, if Grandma Walkers come out and give nocturnal7 a little slack, I think they could steal this match up real quick. I'm going to give nocturnal7 the benefit of the doubt here, but the next round match against 34 or AYB will likely not be a benefit of the doubt typed situation.
Hey... who let ZOMBERGULCH into the Playoffs? Well, joking aside, I don't think ZOMBERGULCH is long for the post season, with Sexually Inactive Fgts having some big hitters on their roster, and a pretty good track record coming out of the Regular Season, I think they'll be taking this match without too much of a fight and give their next opponent a pretty good run, if not more.
It only took half of the Regular Season but Team To Beat woke up and started living up to the hype that I was hearing about them early on. Due to a series of events on both sides of this match, Team To Beats opening Playoff round match-up is against teamblindside. Now, normally, I'd feel pretty confident about teamblindside, and while they have been good, I don't know that they've been unbeatable by any means, or that they've done anything to make me think that will happen here in the Playoffs, and considering the roll that Team To Beat was on closing out their season, well, I think teamblindside might be taking an early trip to the Lower Bracket.
At one time in the past few weeks, I would have called this easily the Match of the Night / Playoffs Round, but I'm not confident to say that anymore. Vicious-Gaming has fallen off the Main division high horse in a hurry lately, even though it only feels like a few weeks ago that they were playing Area51's second fiddle of dominance. It's strange because they have the talent available, but it just doesn't seem as locked down as it once was. Going to have to say, I feel a lot stronger about Packet Loss Pros, they haven't been flawless over the past few weeks, but they've looked stronger than Vicious-Gaming. If VG wakes up, we could have an epic Round One match, but I'm still looking at PLP for a slight edge.
