Well it seems to be an inevitable fate for these two teams to meet up again. This will be the third meeting between these two teams during the course of the open season, and so far the Dons have one both of the last meetings. This time they will be playing on dust2 the most pugged/played map that Counter-Strike has to offer. I feel this heavily favors a team like The Dons who I feel is this strong because of how strong their aim is. I think this match has the possibility to go either way because both teams do have great aim, but I think The Dons had one goal since the beginning and that is winning Open. In the end I agree with The Dons' decision and I believe they will win this last match to obtain the First Place finish. PTW: chiMz / partyNbullshit (Dons) Edward_Newgate / retto (DANKEST-)

DANKEST- > yadlla 16-7 by spyte
Well I feel pretty dumb I was working on the prediction and was posting it not understanding why it wasn't going up just to realize this match was set to be played Tuesday really late at night and only showed up as Wednesday because i'm EST (FML). Anyways this is a great match of two teams who have been proving me wrong this whole playoff season. yadlla may have lost their very first match, but you would never know because they ended up winning 9 straight matches to get to this point. On the other side we have the sleep team DANKEST- who had a modest 10-6 in the regular season, but ended up having a great post season with a 5 win streak in the upper bracket knocking down some big names. Both teams were on the bad sad of my predictions, so i suppose it only makes since that I would fuck up and not even get to predict the match... Either way the match was played and WOW, DANKEST- showed that they came to win it all, and refuses to lose to anyone (except for the Dons :P). This was shown by blowing yadlla out of the water on inferno (16-7). It all started with a very strong 10-5 T side performance for DANKEST- which helped carry them to an easy victory. In the end the top performer for DANKEST- was Edward_Newgate (27 frags) and for yadlla it was seraphic_db (20 frags).

Well here we have the last team from the west coast facing off against the last team from the east coast. Which coast will remain in the playoffs to face off against the two central teams. Both teams have gone through their share of problems, but both have also shown that they have been able to learn from those problems. viGor got to this point by defeating a team who previously beat them in the regular season, while yadlla showed that a west coast team should never be overlooked in these playoff matches. I think viGor plays insanely strong on de_train which will give a lot of problems to a skill based team like yadlla. If yadlla can gain enough momentum on T side then things may change, but for now I see viGor winning. PTW: dsinghtw (viGor) seraphic_db (yadlla)

Well this is an interesting match, we have probably the two strongest teams out of the east coast facing off against one another. They played earlier in the season on nuke where outdone won 16-7. Since that time a lot of things have changed, and I think viGor has only gotten better (dFactor also beat viGor 16-5, but recently lost to viGor in the playoffs). On the other side we have outdone who is a damn good team with A LOT of talent. I was VERY surprised how close the match vs DWG got, considering that not even Funk could make the match (i already knew f0bless couldn't), but I was also confused because 1ekim didnt play. Overall I think this will be a great match with a lot of talented players, I think whatever team is able to gain momentum T side will win and my guess is that viGor will be the ones who gain momentum first for the win. Wow yadlla, wanna stop making me look like such a jerk and stomping every team you face (except for violado)? On the other side we have No Weakness who has had a great playoff showing by only losing to the current upper bracket champs (The Dons). I think this will be an interesting match on de_lite which will give players a time to shine, because I feel that this match will come down to whichever team that can properly take advantage of their opponent. I believe that No Weakness will not be able to rely on their aiming skills on lite which will show an obvious weakness for yadlla. Also, I feel yadlla has a lot of momentum and confidence going into this match. Therefore I will expect a tough close match where yadlla pulls ahead. Finally the match comm got fixed:P. Anyways, here is another great match in the final rounds of the open playoffs. Legacy got to this point by beating a very tough Just4Fame Ecuador team. On the other side of the match comm we have yadlla, who some may have cut out early since they lost their very first playoff match. Luckily for yadlla no one told them about this notation, so here they are after beating two of the toughest teams coming out of the west. Both teams have shown they have a lot of skill and strength, but have also shown their obvious flaws. I think the bigger question for this match is to figure out which team can work the other's flaws the best. In my opinion I think both teams look to play well on de_nuke, but I think Legacy is slightly the better team so expect them to pull of the win. Well both of these teams just won out against some tough opponents to get to this position (both of which I thought the other team would win :( ). Either way, both teams can feel the prize section of the playoffs just around the corner. Similar to matches played before, these two teams have played once during the regular season. When they played in the regular season outdone won 16-7 on de_train. This time around the teams are playing on nuke, with a lot more pressure being put on both teams. I feel that both teams have grown to mesh a lot better since earlier in the season when Funk1g and finch first joined. I feel the match will be a lot closer compared to what it was last time, but in the end I think outdone has better players which will allow them to win this match. The time has finally come for the Upper Bracket finals. The match is going to be cpl_mill which I feel is a more team oriented map rather than a skill based one, and it weighs heavily in the favor of the CT side. In the end I feel that momentum will be a heavy factor for who ends up winning this match. If DANKEST- allows The Dons to obtain the momentum too early then I believe it will be nearly impossible for DANKEST- to pull off a win here. Luckily DANKEST- knows how to play as the underdog very well. They have the ability to surprise their opponents which can allow them the chance to takeover the momentum train instead. I think it will be amazing if DANKEST- takes a quick and early lead because I feel that is what is necessary for them to win this match. In the end I feel The Dons has the advantage in this match, so expect a nice clean match where The Dons pull ahead and win the match. This is an interesting match because these two teams met earlier in the regular season where Damn We Are Good won in overtime on nuke. I think both teams have a grown a lot since the regular season, and overall I think both of these teams are around the same skill level. This makes it a tough decision, because it was a tough match last time where either team had the chance to win. While I say it was anyones chance, last time these two teas played DWG was leading the way while dFactor was playing catch-up. Both of these teams have the potential to win out the season, it really is just a matter of how much effort they will put towards trying to win it all. In the end I don't see domination Factor making the same mistakes and catching Damn We Are Good off guard. This will cause them to gain the lead early, and I think in this match whichever team starts winning early will be the one who wins it all. Here is another great match of two teams who have faced off against each other earlier in the regular season. It is an interesting matching between these two teams since All we need is 5 had a great upper bracket appearance, while yadlla got sent to the lower brackets instantly but have been fighting off teams non-stop for a 5 win streak. During the regular season when these two teams faced off, yadlla won 16-8 on de_train. I think cpl_mill is often played in a very similar way to train, and causes more team oriented strats. I believe that this will be the reason why All we need is 5 will be sent home early, and because yadlla as really focused since their early mistake in the playoffs. I find it pretty fun when some of these later matches in the playoffs are rematches from matches during the regular season. Here we have an exact rematch of the one that was played last year (well... 12/15/09 at least:P). That previous match ended with Legacy winning 16-13 on this same map and perhaps even the same exact server. Since that match both teams have matured a lot with one of the key differences being NovVi after sloboda left the team. Recently during the playoffs Legacy lost to Fly Society, who were then quickly defeated by Just4Fame Ecuador in the next round. A lot of these back and forth jumps in capabilities can probably be associated with the map and teams still trying to mesh together. At the end of the day though, I believe Legacy is the better team in this match up and I see the match being won just like they did during the regular season. PTW: joeyb (Legacy) calan (J4F Ecuador)

Well this might be one of the most interesting matches since I feel both of these teams are mostly being carried by their skilled players (rather than overall teamwork). This creates an interesting setup since they will be playing on cpl_mill, a map that I believe gives an upper hand to the team that has the best teamwork. Since both teams are heavily carried by skill I find this match resulting in whichever team has the BETTER skilled players winning it for their team. With that in mind I think overall djc loves cookies might have the advantage in the skill department (and i feel they overall mesh better as a team) which I believe will give them this win in a close one. This looks to be a really fun match made of two teams who both hold a lot of players with a lot of skill. No Weakness has really picked it up for the playoffs, and really look like they have the potential to beat any of their opponents. While on the other side they are playing The Dons who is made up of top caliber players who just last season were a part of an ESEA-main winning team. I must say that if a team has players who have the ability to win ESEAmain then I would have to assume they can also win ESEAopen (i think I stated this somewhere before :P). Either way I'm expecting a great match with a lot of great frags. Expect for a lot of the rounds to come down to close clutches, and the team who can take control of these situations will probably be the ones who win it all. For now I believe that The Dons will be the ones who will grab the momentum and will end this match with the victory. While I think DANKEST- is playing very strong in the playoffs, and did a great job of proving me wrong. I believe that they have found their strongest opponents of the playoffs, viGor. viGor has shown their strengths and I don't see them slowing down anytime soon until we have reached the finals. While I'm sure that DANKEST- hates to see me go against them every match (or maybe they'll like this since they seem to play better when i pred against them), I really don't see them pulling off a win against these veterans and especially on a map they know by heart like inferno. On the other side of the match we have prophets who have had two back to back close wins where I predicted them to lose. While the prophets have done a great job to prove me wrong time and time again, I'm not sure if they will be ready to beat a team like domination Factor. They basicly have the skill like the previous teams, but now dFactor actually plays as a team. Either way the top central team and top west team going into the playoffs matched up early in the lower brackets, and only one team could come out on top. It looks like it was a really close dust2 match, and I'm sure it will be a great demo! In the end violado pulled off with the 16-13 win and will be the ones continuing through the playoffs. Well this match will now be a test to see whether Th3 Illum1nus has improved since the regular season. I believe this because this match is an exact repeat of the de_nuke match these two played in the regular season when immaculate won 16-12. Obviously teams can change, and players can improve. I don't think this will be the case this time since Illuminus hasn't had to play their last two matches and i'm not real sure how much they have been practicing for the playoffs. If both teams play this, it should be an enjoyable match but expect immaculate to come out with the win again. PTW: AtKiSaMoNsta (immaculate) seyLer (TH3 ILLUM1NUS)

This looks to be another fun match where both teams look to be fairly evenly matched. yaddla got forced to the lower brackets after a tough overtime loss to aspiredOnes, while Plotte a Puck got stomped by outdone. Now both teams must force every will they have to remain in the playoffs, and it will not be easy. Thus far with how the teams are looking it seems that yaddla plays together better, while Plotte a Puck has a lot more players with a lot of strong individual skills. Now that they playoffs have started a lot of meshing has increased, and I think this will benefit Plotte a Puck a lot. I think that now that this PaP team can actually use their skill as a team they will be a very formidable opponent and will be able to pull off a win in this match (Plus they are Canadian, so i'm sure they are pumped already after winning the hockey gold). Interesting here we have a nice match between two western teams, but the odd thing is they have never faced off against each other during the regular season. At the same time they have faced a lot of the same opponents with a lot of similar results. I think this will be a great match since both teams won't have to worry about ping issues, and can really just focus on their strategy and teamwork. I'm sure both teams are excited to see what they can do next, but only one team can make it past this point. I think dead serious might have a slight advantage looking at previous performance, but really overall this can be anyones game. PTW: god_ (deadserious) WEHAVETOGOBACK (FlamingRainbows)

I think this will be a great match of very strong teams, and i'm very excited to see how this match turns out. Currently I think that FoA's worst map might be train since that was the map they lost at earlier in the season (yes i know it was overturned, but I do believe they have problems with it). The other reason is that I think The Dons will be doing a lot of quick rushes which is hell to cover, especially when your dealing with a team full with very skilled players. I think this will go down to the last rounds, and will end up being a matter of which team can obtain momentum the quickest and maintain it. PTW: jerome_butta (FoA), n0swal (The Dons)

Well DANKEST- lucky with their last match considering that their west coast opponents could not play before 11cst. This time around they are playing a west coast who can definitely make it to the match in the time necessary. I do think that DANKEST- may be a pretty good team on train, so this makes me think that this may be a great match. This match will all depend on which team is able to grab momentum the quickest. I believe that tNt is Dynamite will be that team so I believe that will be what carries them to a win. PTW: decasteR (tNt), chee (DANKEST-)

Well Fly Society pulled off a great upset over The Legacy, and their team is already reminding me of Flicker's team last season who kept winning no matter how much i predicted them to win. J4F Ecuador just came from a strong win over the powerlevel9000 team. While I think that J4F Ecuador's teamwork should give them the upper hand on train, I think Fly Society's aim during some of their rushes will be just too much to handle. Yes, I realize the fact that FS lost both of their last train matches during the regular season, but I think they have had some time to play with each other and lock down the chemistry necessary to win. No Weakness is continuing on through the playoffs displaying how they really don't have many weaknesses (except maybe depending on which players play ;D). While DREAD has shown up to play for the playoffs with some great wins on their resume. For this match I think that DREAD will try their hardest to take control of the map, but I think with all the skilled players on No Weakness I don't see them letting that happen. Expect to see some heavy fragging coming out of No Weakness which will give them the momentum and the win. PTW: wrk (NW) ali^ (DREAD)

Another match of an East Coast vs West Coast, which usually leads to scheduling drama over time issues that are created in a 3 hour span. Anyways to get to the match I think it will be a very very close one with either team being able to step it up to win it. This will also be a great measuring tool to see how one of the strongest from the west will do against the stronger from the east. When it comes to the decision for the match, it looks like 2 out of the 3 losses that dwg had were on train which makes me think they may have some difficulties on this map. CinqDieux hasn't loss on train during the regular season, but they also havn't had insanely tough competition. In the end I think CinqDieux has a more solid roster that has been playing together which makes me think they will have the best teamwork on train leading to a win. PTW: Obsolete (CD) fabiaN (dwg)

Damn these bastards played the matched pretty much directly after viGor played their Upper Round 2 match. I really wanted to put my prediction in, but it looks like it turned out how I was thinking anyways. With the pick-up of old friend skiM, the viGor lineup has really started to mesh and it shows as they pulled off a very close win over domination Factor. domination Factor may have been sent to the lower bracket, but I won't be surprised to see them clean up the teams down there. youngeN (31) and rockytetw (28) were the top fraggers of the match, and overall was a great match to watch!

I don't think I can predict anywhere near as good as G-UNIT of All we need is 5 so I thought I would share his insight^^. In all reality I do think All we need is 5 has become a damn good team, and they have really stepped up their game for the playoffs. At the same time I think beating the few mediocre playoff teams is incomparable to what they are about to face from outdone. I'll also have to stray away from G-UNIT's PTW and say that 1ekimzor is who will do the most damage for outdone. Also, make sure to watch kiko or jaNo because I feel that they are the difference makers from All we need is 5 who will try to prove me wrong.

This looks to be a great match between the westcoast and eastcoast. I predicted All we need is 5 to lose against aMa but they proved me wrong and pulled of a win. They are now faced off against outdone, a team I think is probably too strong for awni5. If outdone continues to have good teamwork and confidence, I think they can win this match. Look for finch to be top-fragging.

Which leads me to believe that they will not be able to handle what djc loves cookies can throw at them on a map like de_train. I believe it will be somewhat close, but that djc loves cookies will grab the momentum early and run away with it. PTW: trAUMa (DLC) wawayU (Ymss)

Both of these teams have a list of strong players from a number of strong teams. For now though I think Legacy is pretty distraught after their recent loss to Fly Society, but now is the perfect time to turn things around. brb on the other hand is on the up and up after a nice win over quickFire. Expect Legacy to use their roster as a team in the best way which will cause them to win this match. PTW: niCkf (Legacy) JMaldo because he basicly begged ;) (brb)

Another team who jumped straight into their next match was Club Dub and 0hb0i. I must say though, I was not expecting for Club Dub to dominate 0hb0i so badly. It looks like the match was completely trashed by some key players on Club Dub: tizom (26 kills) ronski (24 kills) Shanahan (21 kills). To see some nice train ownage I would recommend checking this demo out.
